Corking Design

I have been using LittleSnapper & Dropbox for a while now and both are great tools in their own right. LittleSnapper unfortunately has one minor problem, there’s no way to sync my library across multiple machines. This has been bugging me for a while so as usual Google to the rescue. The solution was simple, relocate my LittleSnapper Library to a Dropbox folder.

Problem solved, now I have my LittleSnapper library across all the machines I use.

It has been some time since my last post, apologies about that. New job, lots of freelance work and most time consuming of all (in a greatest way possible) my little girl. Can you believe it she is now 6 months old I can’t, time flies when you’re having fun.

I am going to make a conscious effort to keep my blog a little more up to date in from now on. Next month I will definitely be adding more folio work and hopefully posting a better update cause this one is totally rubbish! Sorry…

Well, it has been a really busy couple of months, actually ‘busy’ an understatement. It has been mental, lots going on.

First the BIG NEWS! After 2 fun filled months freelancing I have decided to take up the position of Lead Creative at Code Computerlove which I will be starting in the coming weeks. Even though the freelance work has been flowing nicely, the opportunity was too much too pass over. I have had the pleasure of working on some great projects with some great people, thanks to you all you know who you are. So with regret I will no longer be taking on large freelance projects, but I am still taking on smaller projects, so if you are interested get in touch.

More news, Corking Design version 3 went live on the 1st of August and I have now been featured on several sites including

• CSS Mania
• The Best Designs
• Web Creme
• Unmatchedstyle
• We Love TXP

Just to name a few. But the down side is I have had the site stolen on more than one occasion, I am not going to publish the offenders URL’s, I don’t want to give them anymore traffic than they already have.

News closer to home, Georgia is now 11 weeks old and I think we have been blessed she is GREAT! My Flickr account seems to have been taken over by pictures of her at the moment. Yesterday was her first Halloween party and as you can see she loves her new outfit.

Hopefully next month I will have a couple of site releases to mention and hopefully have a finished iPhone version of the site too.

Even though I had 9 months to prepare for the arrival of a daughter, nothing would prepare me for the birth, screaming, shouting blood, sweat and tears. All of this was worth it though because on Friday 7th August 2009 my wife gave birth to our first daughter Georgia Findlay Cork born at 4:25pm weighting in at 7lb 10oz. Both mother and baby are both doing really really well. Dad is also holding up not too bad either.
